Battalion: 12th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born at Tupton, Derbyshire and live at Doe Lee, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Lily Hallam. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Creswell, Derbyshire. He went to France on 29th August 1915 and was killed in action, 13th August 1916. whilst working on a trench between, Bernafay and Trones Wood, France during the Battle of the Somme.
