Born at Bermondsey, Surrey. Son of William Henry and Charlotte Rosina Hall, of 164, Jaw Bones Hill, Derby Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Husband of Ada Hall, of 62, Jaw Bones Hill, Derby Road, Chesterfield. He was a Grocers Assistant prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. Killed in action, 3rd September 1916, aged 24, whilst supporting the attack (carrying parties) near Beaumont Hamel, France during the Battle of the Somme.
