Battalion : 2/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of William and Ellen Hall, of 94, Low Town Street, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. He lived at 49 Langley Street, Worksop. He was a bricklayer prior to enlisting on 6th January 1915 at Worksop. He was discharged on 9th February 1915 “not likely to become an efficient soldier’. He re-enlisted and was killed in action, 7th April 1917, aged 22, during the attack at Le Verguier, north-west of Saint Quentin, France.
