Born at Grimsby, Lincolnshire; Son of Mrs Mary Elizabeth Hall, of 155, Oxford Street, Grimsby. He was Joiner prior to enlisting on 11th December 1915 at Grimsby. He went to France on 9th July 1916 and was killed in action, 9th August 1916, during the attack on Delville Wood, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
