Lived at 21, Osborne Terrace, Radford, Nottingham. Son of Henry and Alice Grainger, of 18, Smallman Street, Stafford. Husband of Edith Grainger. He was a bobbin and carriage maker for lace machinery prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 21st April 1915 and died of wounds, 14th September 1916, aged 28.
