Son of Thomas Henry and Mary Elizabeth Gould, of 15 Greenhill Wirksworth, Derbyshire. He enlisted in 1915 at Wirksworth and went to France on 25th August 1917. He died of wounds on 20th September 1917.

Buried: Elzenwalle Brasserie Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 2. Row B, Grave 1.
