Son of John Alfred Gotch, M.A. (Hons.) Oxon. F.S.A., F.R.I.B.A., J.P., and Annie Gotch, of Weekley Rise, Kettering. Went to France on 28th February 1915. Killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 26, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
