Son of Henry William and Mary Goss, of 7, Miall Street, Old Radford, Nottinghamshire. He was a cardroom hand at William Hollins & Co., prior to enlisting at Nottingham 15th October 1914. He was killed in action 26th April 1916, age 25, whilst attacking 25 Northumberland Road and Mount Street Bridge, Dublin during the Irish Rebellion.
