Son of Charles and Sally Gosling, of 363, Beridge Road, Nottingham; Husband of Rose Annie Gilliatt (Formerly Gosling), of 104, Port Arthur Road, Nottingham. Went to France on 25th February 1915. Killed in action, on 1st July 1916, aged 29, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
