Born and lived at Bloxwich, Staffordshire. Son of John and Helen Gee, of 18, Parkshire, Bloxwich. He was a saddle riveter prior to enlisting 16th December 1915 at Walsall. He was posted to the 14th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 7th February 1916 and went to France 4th July 1916 and was posted to the 15th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, 24th July 1916. He was transferred to the 36th Labour Corps, 10th February 1917, posted to the 195th Labour Corps 14th May 1917 and was killed in action 7th August 1917.
