British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Altoffs, Wakefield, Yorkshire. Son of William and Jane Garner, of 34, Cremorne Street, Meadows, Nottingham. He was a Machine Fitter prior to enlisting 14th October 1914 at Nottingham. He was appointed Lance Corporal 31st October 1914 and promoted Corporal 1st March 1915. He went to France 28th June 1915 and was killed in action, 13th October 1915, during the attack on the Hohenzollern Redoubt, near Loos, France.
