Private Walter Freeman

Battalion : 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Nottingham and lived at 8, Bullivant Street, Nottingham. Son of Walter and Harriett Freeman. He enlisted at Nottingham and served in Gallipoli during 1915. He was killed in action, 26th September 1916, in the attack on the German positions near Ovillers, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
