Son of John and Martha Freeman, of 5 Peel Street, South Normanton, Derbyshire. He enlisted 22nd March 1915, went to France 22nd March 1916 and was killed in action, 20th July 1916 by German Shellfire, whilst serving in the line near Bellacourt, France.
