Born and lived at Lincoln. Husband of Mary Anne. Foster, of 47, King Street, Lincoln. He was a blacksmith prior to enlisting at Lincoln and was killed in action, 22nd June 1917, aged 36, whilst serving at the canal bank at Ypres.

Buried: Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 1. Row C. Grave 25.
