Born at Chapel-en-Le-Frith, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Margaret Ford, of Chapel Milton, Chapel-en-Le-Frith; Husband of Edith Throniley Ford, of Roe Buck Place, Chapel-en-Le-Frith. He was a labourer prior to enlisting 1st September 1914 at Chapel-en-Le-Frith. He died, 4th July 1915, aged 30, at 43rd Field Ambulance, from wounds received whilst out on a working party near Ypres, Belgium.
