Born at St. Anne’s, Nottingham and lived at 6 Bobbers Mill Road, Nottingham. Husband of Eliza Ford. He was a clerk at Allmonds & Co., Pelham Street, Nottingham, prior to enlisting 12th December 1911 at Nottingham. He was promoted Corporal 11th August 1915 and went to France 27th August 1916. He was killed in action whilst serving in the line near Bellacourt, 9th October 1916
