Born at Dewsbury, Yorkshire and lived at 74 Reform Street, Dewsbury. Son of Oliver and Annie Fligg, of 35, Horsforth Avenue, Bridlington, Yorkshire. He was a Butchers Assistant prior to enlisting at York. He died of wounds 6th August 1916, aged 27.
