British War and Victory Medal Born and lived at Ripley, Derbyshire. Son of William And Maria Fletcher, of Elm Cottage, Ripley, Derbyshire. Was a compositor. He enlisted at Nottingham 15th May 1915. Was appointed Lance Corporal 6th August 1915, Lance Sergeant 27th October 1915 and Sergeant 15th January 1916. He went to France 6th March 1916 and was killed in action 20th May 1916, age 34.
