Born and lived at Calver, Derbyshire. Son of John and Mary Fletcher, of Hollins Cottage, Froggatt, Calver. He enlisted at Ripley, Derbyshire and was killed in action, 3rd June 1915, aged 22, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
Buried: Kemmel Chateau Military Cemetery, Belgium. Row C, Grave 10.
