Son of Arthur and Clara May Fisher, of 3, Alexandra Road, Spital, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was an insurance assistant prior to enlisting at Chesterfield, August 1914. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment and was killed in action, 16th September 1916, age 23, in the attack on the German positions at Guillemont, France during the Battle of the Somme.
