British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn and lived at Nottingham. Son of John Thomas Eyre Fewkes and Mary Fewkes, of 25, White Road, Old Basford, Nottingham. He was a carriage hand prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He went to France 3rd May 1915 and was killed in action, 9th August 1915, aged 23, in the attack at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
