Battalion: 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Joseph and Alice Fenton, of Cottam, Retford, Nottinghamshire. Went to France on 18th May 1915. Killed in action 5th July 1916, aged 22, in the attack on the German positions at La Boisselle, France, during the Battle of the Somme.
