Son of Jonathan and Martha Fell, of Radford Woodhouse, Nottingham; Husband of Helena Ellis (formerly Fell), of 111, Portland Street, Clowne. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 22nd October 1914 at Creswell, Derbyshire. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed in action, 4th June 1915, age 26, whilst serving in the line at Kemmel, Belgium.
