Private Henry Farrands

Battalion: 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
He was born at Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of Edward and Mary Ellen Farrands, of Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield. He was a coal miner at New Hucknall Colliery, Nottinghamshire. He enlisted at Sutton-in-Ashfield 12th July 1915 and went to France 24th September 1915. He was wounded 5th April 1917 and was sent to Brynkinalt Hospital, Wales. He returned to France in July 1917 and was killed 26th September 1917.
