Battalion: 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born in Sheffield, Yorkshire and lived in Nottingham. Son of Mr. & Mrs Farnsworth, of 16, Ashover Terrace, Manning Street, Nottingham. He was a lace draughtsman prior to enlisting on 5th October 1914 at Nottingham and was killed in action on 26th April 1916, in Dublin when attacking 25 Northumberland Road and Mount Street Bridge during the Irish Rebellion.
Buried: Nottingham General Cemetery, United Kingdom. 4/3772.
