British 15 Star, British War and Victory MedalBorn at Netherthorpe, Yorkshire and lived at 26 Warwick Street, Birdholme, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph and Florence Falconer, of 11, Shaws Row, Brampton, Chesterfield, Derbyshire. He was a fire lad at Grassmore Colliery, Derbyshire, prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. He served in Gallipoli during 1915 with the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He also served with the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, before being posted to the 17th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment. He died of wounds, 17th September 1916, aged 19.
