Son of Hargrave and Sarah Ann Eyley, of 39, Wesley Road, Kiveton Park, Sheffield; Husband of Jessie Eyley, of Fir Vale, Harthill, Sheffield.

Killed in action, 14th February 1916, aged 21, during heavy German shellfire and the explosion of a German mine, prior to the German attack of the front line trenches, near the canal to the south-east of Ypres, Belgium.
