Born at Ashby Parva, Leicestershire. Son of William and Eliza Jane Evans, of Ashby Parva, Leicestershire. He was a Grocer’s Assistant prior to enlisting at Derby. He died of wounds 10th December 1916, at No. 20 Casualty Clearing Station, Warlincourt, France.
