Born and lived at Matlock Bath, Derbyshire. Son of William Warren Evans and Mary Elizabeth Evans, of 240, St. Thomas’s Road, Derby. He was a bank clerk prior to enlisting. He died of wounds, 10th April 1917, aged 24, received on the 9th April 1917 during the German attack at Hill 60, Belgium.
