Born at Clowne, Derbyshire and lived at Creswell, Derbyshire. Son of Charles and Harriet England, of 7, John Street, Creswell. He was a colliery pony driver prior to enlisting at Creswell. He went to France on 29th August 1915 and died of wounds on 19th July 1917, aged 22.
