Lance Corporal Ernest William Edwards

Battalion : 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Son of Arthur Jesse and Emma Edwards, of Butterley Park, Butterley, Ripley, Derbyshire. He lived at Butterley Park and was a Coal Miner prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to France 1st March 1915 and was killed in action, 2nd March 1917, age 21, whilst serving in the line at Gommecourt, France.
