He was born at St. Anne’s, Nottingham. Son of Walter and Annie Dutton, of 30 Eastville Street, Nottingham. Was a collier at Digby Colliery Company, Kimberley, Nottingham. He enlisted 13th May 1914 at Nottingham. He went to France 28th February 1915 and was taken ill 10th October 1915. After being treated at 46th Field Ambulance, he was transferred to No. 8 Stationary Hospital, Wimereux, France, where he died from Syncope 12th October 1915, aged 18.
