Born at Macclesfield, <cheshire, Son of Charles and Emma Durose, of 19, Stone Road, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire. He was a baker before enlisting at Uttoxeter; he was killed in action, guvuy Farm 20th October 1917, age 23.
