Battalion : 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Son of Joseph Baker Duro and Harriet Duro, of 113, Park Road, Ilkeston. He was a clerk prior to enlisting 5th September 1914 at Ilkeston. He went to France 26th February 1915 and was killed in action, 26th June 1915, by a German shell whilst repairing dugouts at Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
