Born and lived at Selston, Nottinghamshire. Son of Henry William and Rebecca Dunn, of Selston. He was a shop assistant prior to enlisting at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He was killed in action, 7th April 1917, during the attack at Le Verguier, north-west of Saint Quentin, France.
