Born and lived at South Somercotes, Lincolnshire. Son of William Isaac and Ma<rta Jane >Dunham of South Somercotes, Lincolnshire. Husband of Violet Emily Dunham, of South Somercotes. He was a Shepherd prior to enlisting at Louth, Lincolnshire. He was killed in action, 28th May 1917, during a raid on the German trenches near Philosophe, France.His brother Private Joseph Edgar Dunham, of Price of walese Own (west Yorkshire regiment) also fell in the Great Wart.

Buried: Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe, France. Plot 1. Row Q. Grave 13.
