Born and lived at South Somercotes, Lincolnshire. Husband of V. E. Dunham, of South Somercotes. He was a Shepherd prior to enlisting at Louth, Lincolnshire. He was killed in action, 28th May 1917, during a raid on the German trenches near Philosophe, France.

Buried: Philosophe British Cemetery, Mazingarbe, France. Plot 1. Row Q. Grave 13.
