Born 10th September 1896 at Duffield, Derbyshire and lived at Woodside, Cavendish Road, Matlock Bank, Derbyshire. Son of Edouard Derrick Dumas and Adeline Heath Dumas, of “Westholme,” Farley Hill, Hackney, Matlock, Derbyshire. He was educated at High School, Seven Oaks, Cavendish School and was an engineering student. He enlisted, on 3rd October 1915, at Brockelsby, Lincolnshire. He went to France on 1st July 1916 and died on 6th August 1916, aged 19.
