British War and Victory MedalBorn at Darley Dale, Derbyshire. Son of James and Elizabeth Doxey, of Upper Hackney, Darley Dale. He was a quarryman prior to enlisting 15th December 1915 at Hathersage, Derbyshire. He went to France 9th July 1916. He was attached to the 36th Labour Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, 13th April 1917 and then transferred to the 195th Company Labour Corps, 14th May 1917. Died 7th August 1917.
