Private Reginald Downham

Battalion: 1/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Ada E. Downham, of 50, Victoria Street, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. He was a joiner prior to enlisting 15th October 1914 at Mansfield. He went to France 2nd March 1915 and was killed in action, 30th July 1915, aged 21, when the Germans attacked the British positions at Hooge, Belgium.
