British 1914 Star, British War and Victory Medal

Born at Chesterfield, Derbyshire and lived at 83 Church Street, Langwith, Derbyshire. Son of John and Martha Dovner; Husband of Alice Dovner. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting at Chesterfield. Went to France on 8th September 1914 and was killed in action, on 25th July 1916, by German shellfire, whilst serving in the trenches near St. Jean, Belgium.
