Battalion: 1/5th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.

Born at Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. Son of John and Eliza Dove, of 48, Alfred Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He was Cottons Patent Hand before enlisting at Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, 7th June 1916. He went to France 17th January 1917 and was killed in action near Bully Grenay, France, 28th May 1917.
