Born at Basford, Nottingham and lived at 96, Birkin Avenue, Nottingham. Son of Arthur and Eliza J. Dominic, of 218, Birkin Avenue, Radford, Nottingham. He was a Brass Moulder prior to enlisting on 6th May 1912 at Nottingham. He went to France on 28th February 1915, was appointed Lance Corporal on 19th April 1916 and was killed in action, on 1st July 1916, during the attack on the German positions at Gommecourt, France, on the first day of the Battle of the Somme.
