>Born at Fernilea, Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire. Son of Samuel and Elizabeth Deplage, of Shall cross Mill, Horwich End, Derbyshire. He was a coal miner prior to enlisting 19th February 1912 at Whaley Bridge.He went to France 28th February 1915 and was killed action 12th July 1915.whilst in the line near Sanctuary Wood, Belgium.
