Born at Hoxton, Middlesex. Lived at Holloway, London Husband of Annie Elizabeth De Veuve of 40 Victoria Road, Holloway. He was a provision stores salesman prior to enlisting 10th December 1915 at Holloway . He went to `France 24th October 1917 and was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby’s) Regiment. 28th October 1917.He was Killed in action, 21st March 1918, whilst holding the line near Morchies, France on the opening day of the German Spring Offensive or (Kaiserschlact)
