Son of Arthur Alfred and Harriet Eleanor Dawson, of Mapperley Park Husband of Ethel Dawson He joined the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby’s) Regiment. 26th April, 1918 was wounded 17th May 1918 returned to duty and was kill in action during a german barrage whilst battalion was movoing location near guyencoutr, France, His brother gunner Arthur Harold Dawson Royal Garrison Artillery also fell in the Great War.

Died: 27th May 1918.
