Son of John William and Florence Davis, of 64, Edward Street, Grantham, Lincolnshire. He was an engine fitter prior to enlisting on 23rd June 1916 at Grantham. He went to France on 24th September 1918 and was transferred to the 2nd Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment, on 26th September 1918 and died of wounds, on 10th October 1918, aged 20.
