Born and lived at Duffield, Derbyshire. Son of Thomas and Mary Davis, of Mill Green, Duffield. He was a gentleman’s servant boy prior to enlisting at Derby. He went to France on 3rd May 1915 and died of wounds on 13th July 1916.

Buried: Mericourt-L ‘Abbe Communal Cemetery Extension, France. Plot 2. Row C. Grave 15.
