Born in Penistone, Yorkshire and lived at Chinley, Derbyshire. Son of James Robert and Gertrude Davis, Temperance View, Chinley, Derbyshire. He enlisted at Bakewell, Derbyshire and died of wounds on 25th April 1918, age 18.
