Private Herbert Davis

Battalion: 2/7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derbys) Regiment.
Born and lived in Nottingham. Son of Samuel and Annie Davis; Husband of Rebecca Davis, of 6, Lower Eldon Street, Sneinton Road, Nottingham. He was a bricklayer’s labourer prior to enlisting at Nottingham. He was killed in action, on 6th December 1917, aged 37, whilst serving in the line at Ribecourt, France.
